Raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, Dr. Lawrence Lu studied chemistry at the University of Tennessee at Martin before earning his dental degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. A lifelong interest in drawing, arts and crafts, and other hands-on work helped him develop a deep appreciation for the detail and precision of dentistry.
Dr. Lu loves helping patients regain their smiles and confidence while building relationships that can last a lifetime. His commitment to care also extends beyond the office: he has volunteered numerous times with Remote Area Medical clinics to provide free dental services and participated in a Memphis Mission of Mercy event. He remains professionally engaged as a member of the American Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Lu enjoys running, hiking, and backpacking. He has completed the St. Jude Memphis Marathon six times as well as an IRONMAN 70.3, and he loves relaxing with his dog, Lucy, and cat, George.
